Hello, I'm Claudia.
I became a therapist because I know what it feels like to question your worth.
In my early years, I experienced bullying that left me longing for one simple thing—to feel safe being myself. Those experiences sparked a desire to understand why people hurt, why we become disconnected from ourselves, and, more importantly, how we heal. They planted the seed that eventually led me to pursue a career in counseling.
I earned my Master's in Mental Health Counseling and began my career believing my purpose was to help others heal. Then life reminded me that healing isn't something we accomplish once.
Like many of us, I experienced difficult life events that challenged what I thought I had figured out. Those seasons required me to slow down, look inward, and do my own work. At first, my passion was about helping others heal. Over time, it also became about understanding my own patterns, strengthening my resilience, and continuing to grow as a person. That journey changed not only who I am, but also how I show up as a therapist.
It taught me that healing isn't about becoming someone new. It's about working through fear, shame, old narratives, and survival strategies that keep us from being who we truly are. Growth isn't a destination—it's a lifelong practice of becoming more authentic, more compassionate, and more connected to ourselves.
I earned my undergraduate degree from Skidmore College before pursuing a Master of Business Administration in Geneva, Switzerland, where I lived for eight years. My path eventually led me to earn my Master's in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University.
I began my clinical career working in residential trauma treatment centers, where I had the privilege of helping individuals facing some of life's most complex challenges. Over time, I advanced into the role of Clinical Director, leading multidisciplinary teams while continuing to provide direct client care. These experiences deepened both my clinical expertise and my passion for individualized, trauma-informed treatment.
Throughout my career, I have remained committed to lifelong learning, earning advanced certifications in trauma, eating disorders, and sex addiction. Each has expanded my ability to tailor treatment to the unique needs of the individuals I serve. Today, in private practice, I integrate this diverse background to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that honors the whole person.
I believe each of us already has within us the capacity to heal. Sometimes life's experiences disconnect us from that inner wisdom, leaving us stuck in patterns that no longer serve us. My role is to help you reconnect with the parts of yourself that trauma, anxiety, shame, or loss may have hidden.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of working as a therapist and clinical director in world-class residential trauma treatment centers and outpatient settings with individuals struggling with trauma, addiction, eating disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. One truth has become increasingly clear: Insight alone isn't enough.
Many people understand why they think, feel, or behave the way they do, yet they still feel trapped in those same patterns. That's because healing doesn't happen only in the mind—it also happens in the body.
My approach is holistic, integrating evidence-based therapies such as EMDR, Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), CBT, DBT, Trauma-Sensitive Yoga, and other somatic approaches. I believe that lasting change comes from working with both the mind and the nervous system, allowing insight to become meaningful transformation.
There is no one-size-fits-all approach to therapy.
Every person has a unique story, unique strengths, and unique goals. Together, we create a path that honors who you are while helping you become the person you want to be. Whether you're navigating trauma, relationship challenges, addiction, anxiety, or simply feeling stuck, our work is about more than symptom relief—it's about transformation.
Beginning therapy can feel vulnerable. My hope is that our first session feels less like an interview and more like the beginning of a meaningful relationship.
We'll spend time exploring what brings you to therapy, what you're hoping will change, and what has shaped your journey. I also want to understand your strengths, your values, your relationships, and the ways you've learned to cope over the years.
You don't need to have everything figured out before you come. You don't need to tell your entire story in one session. We move at a pace that feels safe, collaborative, and respectful of where you are.
Together, we'll begin creating a personalized roadmap that reflects your goals—not someone else's idea of who you should become.
Until you can believe in yourself again, I'll believe in you. I'll hold hope for you until you're ready to hold it for yourself. Because I believe every person has the capacity to heal. Sometimes we just need someone to walk beside us until we can see it ourselves.

At the heart of my work are three core values: self-trust, growth, and connection.
Self-Trust
I believe healing begins when we learn to trust ourselves again. Trauma, difficult relationships, and painful life experiences can leave us disconnected from our intuition and uncertain of our own voice. My goal is to help clients reconnect with their inner wisdom, develop confidence in their decisions, and move through life with greater authenticity and agency.
Growth
I believe we are all works in progress. Healing is not about becoming someone different—it's about becoming more fully ourselves. Growth requires courage, curiosity, and compassion, and I strive to create a space where clients feel supported as they challenge old patterns, discover new possibilities, and continue evolving throughout every stage of life. I am equally committed to my own personal and professional growth because I believe the best therapists never stop learning.
Connection
Meaningful relationships are at the core of emotional well-being. Whether it's strengthening connections with family, deepening friendships, improving intimate relationships, or rebuilding the relationship you have with yourself, I believe healing happens in connection. I value creating a therapeutic relationship where you feel seen, understood, and accepted exactly as you are.
